1) A soft hair brush with sheep or goat hair: 1-1/2" long, 3/8" diameter, total length 11" with handle. This soft brush is a great wash brush.
2) A stiff hair brush with "yellow wolf"(weasel) hair: bristle length 1-1/4", diameter 5/16", total length 10". As a liner, it is commonly used for calligraphic strokes such as bamboo and orchid.
3) A stiff & soft combination brush: the center is made of stiff hair forming a tapered point; the outer wrapping consists of soft hairs for their greater water-holding capacity and for facilitating smooth strokes. It is a brush of supreme versatility. 1-1/4"(3.0cm) Long x 3/8"(1cm) Diameter.
4) A small weasel hair stiff brush. Bristle length 3/4", 1/8" diameter, 8" long total with bamboo handle. This brush serves as a small liner. As its name "Ye Jing"("Leaf Vein") suggests, it is commonly used for defining veins on leaves and drawing of other details. You may use it as a liner or signature brush to sign your paintings.
